Vaibhav Suryavanshi’s father has thanked Rajasthan Royals (RR) team management after the 14-year-old broke into record books for his maiden Indian Premier League (IPL) ton that came in just 35 balls. Against Gujarat Titans (GT) at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium on April 28, Vaibhav showcased his batting mettle and hammered bowlers ruthlessly. His century is the second-fastest in IPL history. Riding on his stunning knock of 101 off 38, RR pulled off the target of 210 comfortably in 15.5 overs and won their third game in the competition. The opener’s batting brilliance also got him the player of the match (POTM) award.

Witnessing his son’s massive achievement, Vaibhav Suryavanshi’s father Sanjeev has released a video to express gratitude to the RR management for helping the youngster achieve the incredible feat. “Vaibhav scored a century in just 35 balls during the IPL match and led his team Rajasthan Royals to victory. We, along with entire Bihar and the whole nation, are extremely proud of his achievement. We would like to sincerely thank the entire Rajasthan Royals management and players for supporting Vaibhav and giving him this opportunity," said Sanjeev.

Vaibhav reveals his parents contribution in his journey to IPL

Following the contest, Vaibhav appeared in an interview with broadcasters and divulged how his parents put unprecedented efforts to make him a cricketer. He gave credit for his success to his parents.

"Whatever I am today, I owe it to my parents. My mother used to wake up early because I had to go to practice, and she used to prepare food for me. She would sleep for three hours. My father left his work for me, and my big brother is handling it now. We were struggling. My father has backed me and said I would be able to achieve it. Whatever result is visible today, and the success I have achieved, is due to my parents," said Suryavanshi in a video posted through IPL’s X handle.
