Indian cricketer Virat Kohli was seen with his wife Anushka Sharma on the streets of Vrindavan in Uttar Pradesh just a day after announcing his retirement from Test cricket. The couple visited the Vrindavan Dham to seek blessings of Premanand Ji Maharaj. Notably, the 36-year-old called off his Test career via Instagram post on the morning of May 12.

“As I step away from this format, it’s not easy — but it feels right. I’ve given it everything I had, and it’s given me back so much more than I could’ve hoped for. I’m walking away with a heart full of gratitude — for the game, for the people I shared the field with, and for every single person who made me feel seen along the way,” Kohli wrote on his retirement post on Instagram.

After Kohli’s retirement, his wife Anushka Sharma also shared a heartfelt post on Insta where she wrote “They’ll talk about the records and the milestones — but I’ll remember the tears you never showed, the battles no one saw, and the unwavering love you gave this format of the game. I know how much all this took from you. After every Test series, you came back a little wiser, a little humbler — and watching you evolve through it all has been a privilege.”

Virat Kohli set to back in action as IPL 2025 resumes on May 17

Having already announced his retirement from Test cricket, Virat Kohli will be seen in action on the cricket field as the IPL 2025 is set resume on May 17 after a temporary suspension. Notably, the league was suspended for one week on May 9 due to the tensions between India and Pakistan at the border. Now, as the ceasefire is announced between both countries, the BCCI came up with the revised schedule for the remaining IPL season.

The IPL 2025 will resume with match number 59 between Royal Challengers Bengaluru and Kolkata Knight Riders at M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru on May 17. Notably, the tournament also started with a match between two teams at Eden Gardens on March 22 where RCB defeated KKR by seven wickets. The final will be played on June 3 but the venue for playoffs and the title clash is yet to be announced.
