Lucknow Super Giants fast bowler Yash Thakur pulled off a stunning feat of fielding to dismiss Dinesh Karthik against Royal Challengers Bangalore. In a rain-affected fixture, the Super Giants put on an incredible bowling display where Ravi Bishnoi and Amit Mishra combined to pick up four out of the nine RCB wickets.

With this regular fall of wickets,  Wanindu Hasaranga tried increasing the scoring rate in the 19th over against Yash Thakur. But as the Sri Lankan mistimed the shot, Thakur quickly fielded it before turning around and inflicting a lighting quick run out to dismiss the RCB wicketkeeper at the score of 16.

After this wicket, RCB only managed to add a few more runs to the total and ended at a score of 126 runs.  Reacting to this performance, Faf du Plessis, the highest scorer of the innings with 44 in 40 balls, spoke about how the pitch was slow and described their total as around par.

While speaking in the mid-innings interview, he said, "It's a slow wicket, not a lot of bounce and thought 135 would be a par score, if we can get 1-2 wickets in the powerplay, will be a tough chase. If you bowl into the wicket, it is stopping and the boundary scoring is also really hard. When we try to force the boundaries it is hitting the toe end of the bat. We got some really good spinners in our side and if we can get those early wickets, it'd be nice."
