England head coach Brendon McCullum has exuded confidence before the upcoming five-match Test series against Team India at home. The English team have looked fantastic recently in all forms of the sport. They hammered Zimbabwe in a four-day Test match played last month and following that, they also whitewashed West Indies by 6-0 in a white-ball competition concluded recently. Following the sensational campaigns, the English side will look to play quality cricket in the upcoming Test series and prevent India from winning their first Test series on English soil after 18 years.

Prior to the massive challenge, McCullum appeared on Sky Sports and acknowledged that Team India have arrived with high hopes in England but his side is also geared up to tackle the challenge. "They're an outstanding cricketing nation, who will come here with high hopes, and we are looking forward to seeing them. It's important the guys refresh. We know where we want to get to as a Test team," said McCullum.

Brendon McCullum shows faith in England’s bowling unit despite star players likely to miss the first Test

Brendon McCullum has shown belief in his team’s bowling attack despite their pacers Jofra Archer and Gus Atkinson highly likely to miss the opening Test to be played at the Yorkshire Cricket Ground on June 20. "There are some quality bowlers that are unavailable, but we have a nice, varied bowling attack with Chris Woakes, Sam Cook, Brydon Carse, Jamie Overton, Josh Tongue for the high-pace element," remarked the 43-year-old.

He also displayed confidence in young spinner Shoaib Bashir’s evolution in the longest form of the sport. "We have Shoaib Bashir, who is growing in Test cricket every day. We know we are going to be tested against India, and they will arrive prepared," added former New Zealand captain.
