The Chairman of the All-India Senior Selection Committee has now claimed that Rohit Sharma was not a preferred option to succeed Virat Kohli as a captain, instead, BCCI wanted to oust Virat Kohli earliest.

“We were not favoring Rohit as a captain; we were just against Virat Kohli. BCCI took the advantage of Virat’s poor form and removed him from captaincy. They should not treat the country’s number 1 batter like this. Shameful,” Chetan Sharma said in an explosive sting operation conducted by Zee Media.
