Team India named their 15-member squad for the upcoming ODI World Cup 2023 while Sri Lanka qualified for the Asia Cup 2023 Super 4s stage after a nail-biting win against Afghanistan.

Sri Lanka crawl into Super 4s with a nail-biting win over Afghanistan

Sri Lanka beat Afghanistan by 3 runs on Tuesday to qualify for the Super 4s stage of the Asia Cup 2023.  After winning the toss, the Lankans got off to a solid start with a 63-run opening partnership between Pathum Nissanka and Dithum Karunaratne in 10.2 overs to place a target of 294 runs in 50 overs. In the second innings, Afghanistan needed to chase the target in 37.1 overs to qualify for the Super 4s stage but lost all the wickets at 289 runs.
