As the India versus England Test series moves to Ranchi for the fourth Test, the hosts have been handed major blow as KL Rahul continues to sit out. The Indian wicketkeeper-batter has been ruled out of the fourth Test with Jasprit Bumrah also being rested. On the other hand, Australia are preparing up for their tour of New Zealand, which starts February 21 in Wellington.

Mohammad Rizwan-led Multan Sultans will host the Shaheen Shah Afridi’s Lahore Qalandars in the second match of the double-header Wednesday of Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2024. The match is scheduled to commence at 7:30 p.m. IST at the Multan Cricket Stadium in Multan. Both the teams are coming off contrasting results. While the Lahore Qalandars are yet to win a game and reel at the fourth place, the Sultans comfortably sit at the top of the table having won both their fixtures so far in the tournament.

Jasprit Bumrah has been released from the squad for the 4th Test against England. The decision was taken keeping in mind the duration of the series and the amount of cricket he has played in recent times. Meanwhile, KL Rahul is ruled out of the 4th Test. His participation in the final Test match is subject to fitness. 

IPL 2024 set to begin on March 22

IPL 2024 is set to begin on March 22 and will be held entirely in the country despite coinciding with general elections, league chairman Arun Dhumal told PTI. Dhumal further added that only the schedule of the first 15 days will be announced and the roster for the remaining games will be decided after the announcement of general election dates.
