The Sunrisers Hyderabad and Rajasthan Royals kick started their IPL 2023 campaign at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad. After winning the toss, Hyderabad opted to bowl first but failed to restrict the Royals as they went all-over the stadium on the back of back-to-back half-centuries from Jos Buttler, Yashasvi Jaiswal and skipper Sanju Samson.

What caught the eyes and attention was a girl who was cheering for the Sunriser Hyderabad from the VIP stands. The white-shirt girl is nothing new when it comes to SRH. Kaviya Maran, the co-owner of Hyderabad-based franchise has been a regular face fro the side.

She is the daughter of media baron and businessman Kalanithi Maran. She belongs to a high-profile family of politicians and businessman. The 29-year-old is also involved with Sun Music and FM channels of Sun TV. It is to be noted that Kalanthi Maran is grand-nephew of late M. Karunanidhi - a popular politician and former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister.
