John Cena, the WWE Champion, lost at Money in the Bank (MITB) PLE in a tag team match alongside Logan Paul, getting pinned by Cody Rhodes, who had World Heavyweight Champion Jey Uso as his tag team partner. The decisive factor in the outcome of the high stakes match was R-Truth, who made his triumphant return to the WWE after getting released from the promotion just days ago.
With a lot at stake in the aftermath of WWE MITB, John Cena, who is currently on his year-long retirement tour, will be making an appearance on Raw this Monday night at the PHX Arena in Phoenix. As per the local listings, the reigning 17-time WWE Champion will be showing up on the upcoming episode of Raw with potentially having an eye on taking part at the Night of Champions PLE later this month at the Kingdom Arena in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
After Cody Rhodes scored a pinfall on John Cena with an unlikely assist from R-Truth, who had nailed the WWE Champion by hitting him with his own championship belt, it will be interesting to see if the American Nightmare will be challenging him for the title later this month at Night of Champions. It is important to remember that John Cena screwed Cody Rhodes out of the title at WrestleMania 41 PLE in April at the Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas with the help from Travis Scott.
John Cena has 20 dates remaining on his retirement tour currently
John Cena has committed only a handful of dates for his retirement tour in the year 2025, with the number being 36 to be exact, and as of right now, he has 20 appearances remaining till December. If the Leader of the Cenation does make it to WWE Raw later tonight, then there will be only 19 dates left on his schedule before he rides into the sunset as far as the active in-ring performer in the WWE is concerned.
Moreover, WWE Champion John Cena will have to be careful about Seth Rollins, who now holds the Money in the Bank briefcase, which he could cash-in anytime, anyplace for a championship match.
