After a tough defeat in the first Test in Leeds, India will be looking to make a comeback in the second Test of a five-match series against England which will be played at Edgbaston Stadium in Birmingham from July 2 to 6. Indian batters had a great time in the first Test where the visitors smashed five centuries in two innings and set a target of 371 runs for England.

However, the hosts made a target of 371 runs look like a cakewalk and ended up winning the game by five wickets on day five with Ben Duckett hitting a match-winning ton. Now, ahead of the second Test, India are likely to make a few changes in their playing XI as per the assistant coach Ryan ten Doeschate which also increased the possibilities of Kuldeep Yadav getting a chance to play in Birmingham.

Very strong chance of playing two spinners: Ryan ten Doeschate

All-rounder Ravindra Jadeja was the only spinner to play for India in the first Test in Leeds. However, Indian assistant coach Ryan ten Doeschate hinted that India might go with two spinners for the second Test in Birmingham. As Kuldeep Yadav is likely to be frontrunner to play alongside Jadeja, all-rounder Washington Sundar is also likely to be in the scheme of things for India.

"There is a very strong chance of playing two spinners. It's just which two we play. All three spinners are bowling very nicely. Washi's batting very nicely. So it's just which combination do we go with? All-rounder spinner or the out-and-out spinner? And obviously, you have to play the bowling all-rounder again. So there are so many different variables," Doeschate was quoted saying by India Today.
