Star Indian wicketkeeper batter Rishabh Pant injured his finger during the third Test against England at Lords due to which his participation in the fourth Test was in doubt. While keeping the wickets during the Lords Test, Pant had to leave the field after hurting his finger as Dhruv Jurel came as a back-up wicketkeeper. However, the left-hander went on to bat in both the innings and scored 74 runs in the first innings.
After the first Test was ended, the fans were curious to know whether Rishabh Pant will play in the fourth Test or not. The match is scheduled to be played at Old Trafford Cricket Ground in Manchester from July 23 to 27. However, in the latest videos from India’s training session ahead of the fourth Test, Pant was seen keeping wickets under guidance of fielding coach T Dilip.
Rishabh Pant resumes wicketkeeping duties ahead of 4th Test
As the Indian team is gearing for the fourth Test against England, Rishabh Pant was seen joining the practice session and keeping wickets. During the training, Pant seemed to having no problem while collecting the ball safely. Looking at the visuals, it looks like Pant is now fully fit and can be seen playing in the fourth Test in Manchester.
India are currently trailing by 1-2 in the ongoing Test series after losing the third Test match at Lords by a small margin of 22 runs. Now, looking for their first Test series win in England after 2007, India will be looking to defeat England in Manchester and level the series by 2-2.
