The Wimbledon 2024 men’s singles final is set to be played between the defending champion Carlos Alcaraz and the 24-time Grand Slam champion Novak Djokovic, on Sunday, July 14, at the Centre Court in SW19, London. And unsurprisingly, the entry ticket for this all-important tennis match is the most expensive in sporting history at ₹8,85,000 ($10,600).
Notably, the seats with a closer view to the action at the Centre Court are more expensive for the Wimbledon 2024 men’s singles final. As per the report from Sporting News, the prices for these seats run from anywhere between ₹31,49,000 to ₹3,02,34,000 ($37,700 to $3,62,000).
The high-ticket prices showcase the quality of Carlos Alcaraz and Novak Djokovic, who are set to compete in the Wimbledon 2024 men’s singles final. It also highlights the great anticipation among the fans to see the repeat of a thrilling final from last year at the Centre Court in SW19, which went the way of Alcaraz in five sets after dropping the first one to Djokovic, with the scoreline reading 1-6, 7-6(8-6), 6-1, 3-6, 6-4.
The road to the Wimbledon final for Carlos Alcaraz has been far from easy, although he managed to defeat Daniil Medvedev in four sets in the semi-final after dropping the first one. Meanwhile, Novak Djokovic has whistled his way through to yet another Grand Slam final in his career, dropping only two sets at Wimbledon this year against Jacob Fearnley and Alexei Popyrin in the earlier rounds after returning from a knee injury.
With that, there is a great chance for Novak Djokovic to become the first player in tennis history to win 25 Grand Slam singles titles, but Carlos Alcaraz, who defeated him in the final last year, is going to make it quite difficult for him to reach the milestone moment.
