The highlight came in the women's mile, where Abbey Caldwell led an Australian podium sweep ahead of Jessica Hull and Claudia Hollingsworth. Australia also struck gold through Jemima Montag in the women's 10,000m race walk, Matt Denny in the men's discus throw, Mackenzie Little in the women's javelin throw, Rhiannon Clarke in the women's T38 200m and Kurtis Marschall, who claimed a record-breaking third consecutive Commonwealth Games pole vault title.
