Novak Djokovic played the longest Wimbledon match of his career to beat Felix Auger Aliassime in the Quarter Final of the Wimbledon 2026. Novak Djokovic was tested throughout and managed to earn a dramatic 7-6(10), 3-6, 6-3, 6-7(4), 7-6(10-4) victory and book a blockbuster rematch with World Number 1 Jannik Sinner in the semi-final of the Wimbledon. This is the 15th time Novak Djokovic has reached the semi-finals in Wimbledon. This was the longest match for Novak Djokovic in Wimbledon as it went for a gripping five-hour-and-15-minute before Djokovic sealed the match. It was a terrific match that swung one way and then the other.
Djokovic recovered from receiving treatment for a leg issue during the first set and from squandering a break advantage in the fourth set to eventually prevail in the longest quarter-final. Felix Auger Aliassime put up a good fight but Novak Djokovic was mentally tough as he picked up the win just six minutes before the 11 p.m. curfew. Novak Djokovic raised his arms aloft after sealing victory before he embraced a spent Auger Aliassime at the net following a clash that will be long regarded as a classic game.

Novak Djokovic: I was telling my kids to sleep, but glad they didn’t listen
During the on-court interview after the win, Novak Djokovic was asked about his thoughts on the game. He said "With a racquet and a lot of heart and management of the nerves and the extreme tension you feel in these kinds of matches. Towards the end it was anyone's game. The scoreline was even all the way through. I think it was anyone's game in the super tie-break in the fifth. These are the kind of moments that I still play tennis for."
