After Manchester United striker Cristiano Ronaldo asked to leave the club during the summer transfer, many clubs including Paris Saint-Germain were linked to his possible signing. However, a report suggests the French club will not sign the legendary striker, ending the possibility of his union with former Barcelona star Lionel Messi.

To participate in the Champions League this season, Cristiano Ronaldo has expressed his desire to part ways with the Premier League club Manchester United. Reportedly, Cristiano's agent Jorge Mendes has offered the 37-year-old forward to the Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich, Serie A side Napoli, and the English club Chelsea, apart from PSG.

Mendes also held talks with PSG sporting advisor Luis Campos and club president Nasser Al-Khelaifi, however, the sources informed that the club will not be signing the Portugal international sighting 'not enough space in their wage bills.'

Earlier this week, the new Manchester United head coach Erik ten Hag has cleared his stance on the No. 7 and said, "No, we are planning with Cristiano Ronaldo this season so, that's it and I'm looking forward to work with him."

"I don't know. He hasn't told me this. I have read but what I say, Cristiano is not for sale, Cristiano is in our plans and we want to get success together," he added.

Cristiano Ronaldo, who has joined the Red Devils last season, will look for a new challenge before the summer transfer window ends on September 1, 2022.
