With less than a week to go for the restart of IPL 2021, the T20 fever has been very intense among cricket followers. With just 6 more days to go for the resumption of the 14th edition of the mega event, let us have a look at some of the stats related to number 6 in the IPL.
6 - Number of players who have captained Rajasthan Royals in IPL is 6.
Six different players to captain the RR franchise in IPL are Shane Warne, Shane Watson, Rahul Dravid, Steven Smith, Ajinkya Rahane & Sanju Samson. Only Shane Warne ended up winning a trophy for RR in IPL.
6 - Chris Gayle has registered 6 centuries in IPL which is most by any player in the tournament.
Chris Gayle has recorded 5 centuries for RCB and another 1 century for PBKS in IPL. The Caribbean southpaw played a big role for his former team RCB in the IPL from 2011 to 2017. He has won 2 Orange Caps consecutively in 2011 & 2012 season.
6 - Only 6 different captains have won an IPL trophy so far.
Six different captains who have won an IPL trophy are Shane Warne (2008), Adam Gilchrist (2009), MS Dhoni (2010, 2011, 2018), Gautam Gambhir (2012, 2014), Rohit Sharma (2013, 2015, 2017, 2019, 2020) and David Warner (2016).

Delhi Capitals have won 6 out of 8 matches in the IPL 2021 and currently they are table toppers (played one game extra compared to other teams). Delhi haven't won a single trophy in IPL and they will look to end their quest for an IPL trophy in this season.
