But Italy defied all odds to secure a spot for the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026, to be held next year in India and Sri Lanka. In the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup Europe Qualifier 2025 event, the Joe Burns-led Italy side registered wins over Guernsey and Scotland to secure qualification.
