Yashasvi Jaiswal scored his maiden ODI century and half centuries from Kohli and Rohit ensured India chased down a target of 271 set by South Africa to win by nine wickets. Earlier in the day, South Africa were put into bat first as KL Rahul won the toss and opted to field first. After losing Rickelton early, Bavuma and Quinton de Kock steadied the ship and built a partnership.

Quinton De Kock scored a terrific century ,his seventh ODI century against India. Prasidh Krishna after going for 27 runs in his first two overs bounced back in his second spell picking up three wickets for 25 runs to trigger a collapse for South Africa. Kuldeep Yadav then picked up both Brevis and Jansen in the same over as South Africa were bowled out for 271. At one stage they were aiming at a score of more than 350 and the platform was set but three wickets from Prasidh dented them and they had a collapse.

At the halfway stage it looked a below par total and with dew it was always going to be a difficult task to restrict. South Africa started poorly with the ball offering a lot of wides but kept it right to Jaiswal. Rohit scored a half century while Jaiswal after an initial struggle bounced back and scored a fine century as the opening partnership of 150 set up the chase perfectly.

Rohit fell to Maharaj for 75 but Kohli continued from where he left off in the last game as he scored yet another half century of just 40 balls. His no look six to Corbin Bosch was the talking point and went viral. India chased down the target with nine wickets spare and clinched the series 2-1.

Yashasvi Jaiswal was the player of the match in the third ODI and they have won yet another series at home. South Africa fought well in the first two games but were completely outplayed in this series decider. Both teams will now move to the T20I series which starts on December 6.
