At the moment, the leading cricketing competition in Madhya Pradesh is the Aditya Birla Group Madhya Pradesh League that has returned to the region bigger and better than before for what is its third season and includes an expanded roaster of teams, that wasn’t the case insofar or in the seasons held so far. It is a solid opportunity for both first class and rising talented cricketers in and around the state to showcase their potential and get highlighted than before.

And there were a few positive observations that were made on this revered occasion by none other than the President of the Madhya Pradesh Cricket Association (MPCA) Mr. Mahanaaryaman Scindia. He happened to highlight the fact that with inclusion or addition of the new franchises in the said league, the competition has sort of opened up than ever before. What is has done is that it has allowed for more doors especially for the young cricketers who are competing from across the state.

In all, the MPL is giving them a larger platform to showcase their skills and to further their cricketing journey.

He would share some glowing insights as follows-

“The expansion of the league with new teams is all about creating more opportunities for young cricketers. More teams mean more players get the chance to compete, showcase their talent and gain valuable exposure. Our aim is to build a stronger pathway for aspiring players and help more of them progress to higher levels of the game, whether it is the IPL, WPL or even representing India in the future.”

Mr. Scindia also happened to highlight the bustling cricketing ecosystem in the state of Madhya Pradesh that has quite simply risen the standards of cricket played and the facilities amid which it shines commensurate to an utterly competitive world standard. This is really a thing to marvel at- isn’t it? He would highlight the rapid rise of Cricket across the region especially where the past few years stand.

Women’s cricket too, aside from the men’s game finds an obvious and relevant mention amid these developments and more and more young talents from different regions of the state are finding new platforms to express their talent and find cricketing vocation in this regard.

For now, the men’s competition features 10 teams that are as follows as far as the Madhya Pradesh Cricket League is concerned-

Malwa Stallions, Ujjain Falcons and Royal Nimar Eagles joining defending champions Bhopal Leopards, Bundelkhand Bulls, Chambal Ghariyals, Gwalior Cheetahs, Indore Pink Panthers, Jabalpur Royal Lions and Rewa Jaguars.
