On Saturday, the Trent Rockets recorded an eight-wicket win over the Sunrisers Leeds by a margin of eight wickets to lift the Women’s The Hundred 2026. The Rockets Women came up against Leeds in the summit clash of the tournament at the Lord’s in London. While the Rockets had already booked their spot in the finale, Leeds came on the back of a five-wicket win over the Southern Brave in the Eliminator. The final showdown began with the Rockets skipper Ashleigh Gardner winning the toss and inviting the rivals to put the score on the board first.
While the Sunrisers Leeds were hoping for a positive start, the Rockets bowlers wreaked havoc right from the opening over. They quickly got the better of both the openers Bryony Smith and Phoebe Litchfield on 7 and 10 runs, respectively. Wicketkeeper-batter Lauren Winfield-Hill was forced to walk back on a golden duck. However, the likes of Annabel Sutherland, Deepti Sharma and skipper Danielle Gibson tried to give the side some stability with 25, 12, and 22 runs, respectively.
But not too late than that, the lower batting order of the Leeds ended up collapsing, with the highest score among the batters was Kate Cross’ seven. The lethal bowling dominance of the Rockets bundled their rivals out on 91 runs. Kim Garth, Samantha Bates, Georgia Adams and Charley Phillips ended up picking two wickets each, while skipper Gardner came up with one wicket.

While Leeds had an embarrassing batting display in the first innings, they were hoping to make a comeback with the ball. However, by that time, the victory was already in the Rockets’ court, and they seemed to be in no mood to let go of it. Openers Sophia Dunkley and Beth Mooney stitched a 40-ball 69-run partnership to bridge the gap between the target that couldn’t even cross 100. While Danielle Gibson got the breakthrough in the form of Dunkley’s wicket, they were just a few runs away from winning the game and lifting the title.
At the end, they were able to chase the target in merely 54 balls and were crowned the champions of the 2026 The Women’s Hundred. Georgia Adams, who finished the game with figures of 2-9 was named the Player of the Match, while Annabel Sutherland was named the Player of the Series.
