BGMI Lite is finally coming to India. KRAFTON India officially announced on August 16, 2026, that the lighter version of Battlegrounds Mobile India will launch in the country by the end of 2026. This is big news for players who have been waiting for a Lite version of BGMI for a long time. However, the company has not shared the exact release date yet.
BGMI Lite Release Date in India
The official BGMI Lite release date is not confirmed yet, but KRAFTON has given players a release window. The game is scheduled to arrive before the end of 2026.
KRAFTON India also shared a simple message on its social media handles: “You Asked. We Listened. BGMI LITE Coming Soon.”

BGMI Lite Pre-Registration
KRAFTON has not announced the BGMI Lite pre-registration date yet. Players will have to wait for another official update before registrations begin.
The global version, called PUBG Mobile LIGHT, will start its pre-registration on August 25, 2026. However, this date has not been confirmed for BGMI Lite in India.
Players should only use official BGMI or KRAFTON sources when pre-registration eventually opens.

There is currently no official BGMI Lite download or APK available because the game has not been released.
