Team India wicketkeeper-batter KL Rahul has starred in the Pro Kabaddi League (PKL) ad campaign. The 12th edition of the PKL will kick off from August 29 with the game between Telugu Titans and Tamil Thalaivas. Bengaluru Bulls, who won the sixth edition of the tournament, are yet to announce their capatin for the competition. Last season, Bengaluru concluded their campaign as the worst side with two wins and 19 losses in 22 games. Forgetting the previous year’s failure, Bulls will strive to produce their best to lift the trophy again after seven years.

Rahul, who belongs from Bengaluru, was seen in the ad made in Kannada language. In the commercial, he can be seen sitting in a car which can’t move ahead as a bull is blocking its way. Communicating with the boys in the car, Rahul reveals it’s a Bengaluru bull. Speaking on his participation in the ad campaign, Rahul remarked, “Kabaddi is a sport where every moment counts, and every move demands intent. The aggression, the pace, and the raw energy on the mat are what make it so thrilling—not just for players, but for everyone watching.”

KL Rahul highly likely to be seen in action in October 2025

KL Rahul is highly likely to serve Team India in the upcoming home Test series against the West Indies in October. Following that, India will tour Australia for three One-Day Internationals (ODI) and five T20 Internationals (T20I) and Rahul can be seen in the 50-over series against the Aussie side.

Rahul was an essential part of Team India that levelled the Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy 2025 in England. Playing five matches, he hoarded 532 runs with two hundreds and a couple of fifties in 10 innings and ended up as the third-leading run-getter in the tournament, following his captain Shubman Gill and England veteran Joe Root.
