Former Portland Trail Blazers player Damian Lillard filed for a divorce from his wife Kay’La Lillard, five days after he was traded to the Milwaukee Bucks. The American star and his wife were college sweethearts and got married on September 21, 2021, in Santa Barbara, California. Not only this, but the Lillards have three children together, Damian Jr. age 5, along with twins Kalii and Kali, age 2.
The divorce petition filed by the couple read, "irreconcilable differences between the parties have caused the irremediable breakdown of their marriage." Not only this, but the couple also signed a “valid and enforceable Premarital Agreement on August 30, 2021.” The couple were reportedly living in separate houses in West Linn, Oregon since December 2022.
The divorce filing by the couple also said that the Bucks star moved to Tualatin, Oregon last month. The American, who is currently in training camp preparing for his first season with the Milwaukee Bucks, was represented by Shawn Menashe. Notably, the seven-time All-Star Lillard was traded to the Bucks in a blockbuster deal.
With his deal, Lillard ended his 11-year tenure with the Portland Trail Blazers. Notably, the Bucks are gearing up to bounce back after a dramatic and unexpected end. The Bucks were dispatched by Miami in the first round, which prompted Bucks superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo to make a decision about his future. He had said that he would consider moving to another team if he felt he and his team weren’t on the same page.
