The Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi took to his official Twitter account to send out a congratulatory message to the Indian athletes for achieving the historic milestone of 100 medals in the Asian Games 2023 on October 7, Saturday. The 73-year-old also revealed that he is looking forward to hosting the Indian contingent on October 10, Tuesday, to have an interaction with them.

For the unversed, India won their 100th medal at the Asian Games 2023 at Hangzhou after the women’s kabaddi team defeated Chinese Taipei in the final by a narrow margin of 26-25 on October 7. As of this writing, Team India have 25 golds, 35 silvers, and 40 bronzes, the highest tally of medals for the country in the history of the multi-sporting continental event.
In his congratulatory tweet, PM Modi talked about how the people of India are thrilled that the country reached the remarkable milestone of 100 medals. He also spoke about how the awe-inspiring performances from the Indian athletes have filled the hearts of people with pride, before revealing that he will host and interact with them on October 10.

I extend my heartfelt congratulations to our phenomenal athletes whose efforts have led to this historic milestone for India. Every awe-inspiring performance has made history and filled our hearts with pride.
