India veteran pacer Mohammed Shami took to his social media handle and penned an emotional note for his daughter Aaira on her birthday. Shami is currently engaged in a court battle with his estranged wife Hasin Jahan. Both Shami and Hasin got wedded in 2014 but in 2018, their relation soured as Hasin levelled multiple allegations on the 34-year-old, including adultery as well. Their case got highlighted recently when the Calcutta High Court ordered Shami to pay INR 4 Lakh/month as maintenance expenses to wife Hasin and Daughter Aaira.
Amidst these troubled times, Mohammed Shami remembered his daughter on her birthday. Taking to Instagram, the speedster posted a picture of him hugging his daughter and wished her a happy birthday. He captioned the picture, "Darling, daughter,I still remember all the nights we spent staying up, talking,laughing and specifically your dance. Can't believe you are growing up so fast. I wish only the best for you in life. May God bless you abundantly with love, peace, joy, and good health, today and always. Happy birthday."
Hasin Jahan targeted Mohammed Shami a couple of weeks back
A couple of weeks back, Hasin Jahan targeted Shami through a video posted by her on Instagram. She tagged Shami and used strong words. She called the Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) bowler with a wrong mindset. "A person with a wrong mindset, who has crime in his mind, and who pushes his own family, wife and children towards trouble, and who was never anything and suddenly a lot happens, these people get arrogance and attitude,” read Jahan’s Instagram post.
Talking about Shami’s recent cricketing activities, he played his last competitive game for Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) against Gujarat Titans (GT) on May 2, in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 match, played at the Narendra Modi Stadium. His last international appearance for India was against New Zealand in the Champions Trophy 2025 final held in Dubai.
