In the recent developments around the saga of Carlo Ancelotti’s future, it is being reported by top football journalists that Ancelotti is now poised to leave Real Madrid at the end of the current LaLiga campaign, which is May 25. While there were rumors about some disagreements in the exit process between the club and the Italian manager, it is now being said that all those formalities will be completed right after the El Clasico game in LaLiga. Real Madrid is going to face FC Barcelona on May 11, at the Montjuic Stadium, in what will be the fourth El Clasico of the season.

Overall, Ancelotti still has four games under his belt at Los Blancos before the LaLiga campaign concludes and he leaves the club. Real Madrid are currently four points behind FC Barcelona and therefore this upcoming El Clasico will be one with extremely high stakes as it could change the entire face of the title race. A win for Real Madrid would reduce the deficit to just 1 point and will put pressure on Barcelona with just three league games remaining then.

Brazil football federation still open to signing Ancelotti: Reports

Adding further to Ancelotti’s exit from Madrid, the Brazil national team were long-time admirers of the Italian manager and wanted him to take over the national team before next year’s FIFA World Cup. Initially it was reported that the deal between the Brazilian federation and Ancelotti had fallen apart due to a lack of clarity over Ancelotti’s future at Real Madrid. However, recent developments suggests that the federation is still open to getting Ancelotti on board.

With Ancelotti’s exit plan set to become clear after the upcoming El Clasico, Brazil is expected to send another formal proposal to Ancelotti, with whom they already have a verbal agreement. Ancelotti is most likely to accept this new offer and step into his new role with a new set of challenges and opportunities.
