CP Joshi, the former President of the Rajasthan Cricket Association (RCA), has conceded defeat from Nathdwara seat on Congress’ ticket in the Rajasthan Legislative Assembly election. The 73-year-old sent out a post X, accepting the mandate from the people of Nathdwara before congratulating his rival Vishvaraj Singh of Mewar from the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) for the win.

At 3:30 PM on Sunday, December 3, CP Joshi from Congress had polled 87,446 votes in Nathdwara, trailing the leader by a margin of 7,504. Vishvaraj Singh Mewar from the BJP emerged as the leader with 94,950 votes among the five candidates, which included one from Congress, one from Bahujan Samaj Party, and the two independents.
After learning about the voting trends for the Nathdwara seat, with the result being a foregone conclusion, CP Josh took to his official X account to send a message about the Rajasthan Legislative Assembly election. He said, “I accept the mandate from the people of Nathdwara. I thank the workers and colleagues for supporting me during the election proceedings. I will always advocate the interests of the people of Nathdwara."
CP Joshi also congratulated the BJP candidate Vishvaraj Singh Mewar for winning the Nathdwara seat and hoped for the growth story for the town to continue. “Many congratulations to the BJP candidate Vishvaraj Singh Ji for the win. I hope that he will ensure that in the next five years, the speed of growth which has been happening in the last five years will continue.”
