Former India opener Navjot Singh Sidhu and ex-Chennai Super Kings (CSK) batter Ambati Rayudu were seen having a war of words during the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 match between Punjab Kings (PBKS) and Chennai Super Kings (CSK) at Mullanpur. In the high-scoring game PBKS held their nerves and defended a score of 219 runs successfully. Opener Priyansh Arya batted extraordinarily and hit his maiden IPL hundred. The left-handed batter’s performance also got him the player of the match (POTM) award. During the match, an incident related to Sidhu and Rayudu grabbed the limelight and it’s now getting talked about a lot among IPL viewers.
A clip that surfaced on social media during the match showed Rayudu accusing Sidhu of changing teams, but Sidhu refused to hold himself and gave it back to the former CSK stalwart. The former India opener said, "Dekho girgit agar kisi ka aaradhya dev hai toh wo tumhara hai (See if there's someone in this world who is like a chameleon, it’s you)". Before the PBKS vs CSK contest, Rayudu also had a heated debate with Sanjay Bangar over Rohit Sharma’s role in Mumbai Indians (MI).

CSK lose their fourth consecutive game in IPL 2025
CSK have lost their fourth game in a row. After winning their opening match against Mumbai Indians (MI), they looked completely out of rhythm in their next three games. However, they put up some fight against PBKS while following a gigantic total but fell 18 runs short. Devon Conway, who couldn’t be a part of CSK’s playing XI in the initial three matches, displayed spunk and played a 69-run knock off just 27.
Shivam Dube, who came in the match as an Impact Player (IP) also played a 42-run innings off 27. MS Dhoni, who was facing ire for his underwhelming show with his bat, hammered 27 off 12. However, these innings couldn’t bring joy to CSK supporters as the Yellow Army have now accumulated four losses out of their five matches and are now in the ninth spot on the points table.
