There are many great pairs who are known for their big partnerships in the IPL and have entertained the fans with their great chemistry and cooperation on the field.
There have been many memorable partnerships in the IPL throughout the years. Virat Kohli and AB de Villiers hold the record for the highest-ever partnership in IPL history. Playing for Royal Challengers Bengaluru, Kohli and De Villiers put up a mammoth partnership of 229 runs for the second wicket in a match against Gujarat Lions at M. Chinnaswamy Stadium on May 14, 2016. De Villliers smashed 129*(52) runs while Kohli contributed with 109(55) runs as RCB posted 248/3 in their 20 overs.
The second spot also belong to star RCB duo of Virat Kohli and AB de Villiers for their 215-run partnership against Mumbai Indians at Wankhede Stadium on May 10, 2015 where De Villliers smashed his highest IPL score of 133*(59) runs. On the other hand, KL Rahul - Quinton de Kock from Lucknow Super Giants and Adam Gilchrist - Shaun Marsh share the top spot for the highest opening partnership of 210 runs in the IPL.
