India batter Virat Kohli is finally getting back his rhythm in ongoing Asia Cup 2022 in UAE. The batter played vital innings of 35 runs in the Asia Cup opener against Pakistan and then struck his 31st half-century to guide India to a competitive total against Hong Kong.

The Delhi born has stayed away from the competitive cricket since England tour and recently revealed that he didn't touch the bat for a month. Virat also admitted that he was trying to fake his approach towards the game, which was reflecting on his performance. Ahead of the Asia Cup 2022 opener, Virat claimed that the break worked well for him as he is feeling mentally fresh and is excited to participate in the tournament.

While Kohli has already given a glimpse of his form in first two games, pictures of former Indian skipper wearing a special high altitude mask while training in now doing rounds on social media. The mask which Kohli is wearing is designed to keep the air pressure low, and the batter was earlier spotted wearing the same mask during gym sessions.

"I am looked at as a mentally very strong guy which also I am. But everyone has a limit and its very important to recognize that threshold, otherwise things can get unhealth for you. The time I spend off-the field taught me lot of things. When I realized the fact that I needed to step back from the game in order to get back my best version, I embraced it," Virat Kohli said on Star Sports.

Speaking of Asia Cup 2022, the continental competition has reached its Super 4 stage which will kick start from August 03, (Saturday) with Afghanistan taking on Sri Lanka at Sharjah Cricket Stadium. However, Sunday will bring yet another high-octane clash between Pakistan and India where both teams will play for the second time in the competition.
