Team India will look to level the series when they will take on Australia in the second T20 international on September 23 (Friday) at the VCA Stadium. Aaron Finch-led side stunned the world number one T20I team on September 20 (Sunday) after dominating the Indian bowlers during the run-chase. While Team India will look for redemption in the second match of the series, Australia will come hard to win the three-match series.
The ground at VCA stadium provides equal opportunity to batters and bowlers. But batting will be bit dominating as compared to the bowling and the captain who wins the toss should look to chase.
Bowling has been a real concern for the world number one T20 team. After putting mammoth 208 in the 1st innings, Indian bowlers failed to defend the total as Mathew Wade and Cameron Green came heavy. Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Harshal Patel found themselves at the receiving end as they conceded too many runs in the death overs.
The second match of the series will be litmus test for the side who will be amongst the favorites in upcoming T20 WC. Meanwhile batting was good for Men in Blue as Hardik Pandya, Suryakumar Yadav, and KL Rahul did well in the game. Rohit and Virat Kohli will be aiming to get some runs under their belt in order to gain confidence.
Aaron Finch-led side batted brilliantly in the first game as the visitors put on a collective show to chase 208. Although Glenn Maxwell failed to show his batting prowess in the series opener but that won't be a big concern for the team. Australia's bowling is also a concern for the side as the bowlers leaked too many runs in the first innings. Josh Hazlewood will once again lead the pace attack as he will also expect better show from others.
