With the five-match Test series between England and India for the Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy culminating in a 2-2 draw, star Indian pacer Jasprit Bumrah took to Instagram to share an emotional message. It is to be noted that Team India denied England a Test series win at home after they stunned the home side in the final Test at The Oval by six runs on Monday, August 4.

In the series, Jasprit Bumrah only played three Test matches, as earlier confirmed by chief selector Ajit Agarkar and head coach Gautam Gambhir, and picked 14 wickets, including two five-wicket hauls. While he missed both the matches where India stood out victorious, Mohammed Siraj stepped up, leading the pace attack.

While Bumrah was released from the squad after day one of fifth Test at The Oval, hours after India’s edge of a seat win, took to his Instagram handle to reflect on the series. “We take back great memories from a highly competitive and enthralling test series! Looking forward to what’s next ������ ” Bumrah captioned a post hours after India’s Oval Test win.

The 31-year-old also dropped a big hint on his availability as he highlighted on what’s next for the Indian cricket team. While the Indian cricket team has nothing planned for the month of August after their white-ball series, consisting of three ODIs and as many T20Is against Bangladesh was pushed back to 2026 due to ongoing tensions. While the next assignment for the Indian cricket team is set to be in September, where they will travel to play the Men’s Asia Cup 2025, a call on Bumrah’s availability will be taken at a later stage.
