The two-time Kolkata Knight Riders weren’t at their best in this year’s IPL season. Kolkata finished in the middle of the table in seventh place. But for the 2023 season, KKR will have a lot to do in the upcoming mini-auction. They have a total of 11 slots and a shoe-string budget of only Rs 7.05 Crore. The franchise made some big moves in the trade window by bringing in Shardul Thakur, Rahmanullah Gurbaz, and Lockie Ferguson to their squad.

Whereas KKR released stars like Pat Cummins, Aaron Finch, Alex Hales, Ajinkya Rahane and a few others. So, the Knight Riders will be looking at a top-order talent, who could fit in multiple roles across the batting line-up. Similarly, Kolkata would also look for a death bowling specialist to help their bowling. A wicketkeeper will also be on the list for KKR.
