
Virat Kohli retired from Test cricket after delivering his services to India’s Test team for 14 years. The 36-year-old’s last appearance in India whites came against Australia in the fifth Test of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy (BGT) 2024-25 played at the Sydney Cricket Ground (SCG) played from January 3rd to 5th. Throughout his Test career, he played a fierce brand of cricket against the Aussies. In 2018, he became the first India captain to guide the team to a red-ball series victory down under.
Besides this captaincy feat, Virat Kohli also holds the sensational record of notching up the most runs for India in a Test series in Australia. In 2014-15, when India competed against the Aussies down under, he racked up 692 runs in eight innings of four contests at an average of 86.50.
