Former India skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni might have drawn curtains on his international career, but it hasn’t affected his fan following even a bit. In fact, the past few years have seen his fan base expanding, and he has become more beloved and dearer to his followers. Dhoni fans who identify themselves as ‘MSDians’ don’t let any opportunity to get clicked with him slip away. The Indian legend is known for his humble and down-to-earth demeanour, and one such testament is his recent picture with a traffic cop doing rounds on social media.
After a successful IPL 2023 campaign, the Chennai Super Kings skipper is spending time with his family in his hometown, Ranchi. The cricketer who has been spotted several times driving on the roads of his hometown lately got spotted outside Jharkhand State Cricket Association Stadium (JSCA).
While the Ranchi boy was entering the stadium, Dhoni stopped to click a picture with a traffic cop. The picture was shared on Instagram by a fan account and was accompanied by the caption, “Recent Click MS Dhoni Sir.” The picture has taken social media by storm.
Notably, the 2011 World Cup-winning captain underwent knee surgery post-completion of the Indian Premier League’s 16th edition. After leading CSK to win their fifth trophy, MS Dhoni said that he will play another season in the cash-rich league. Now that Captain Cool will be on the field in 2024, he has been utilising the time to maintain his fitness and it is the reason the former India wicketkeeper trains at the JSCA Stadium in Ranchi.
