Suryakumar Yadav, the middle-order batter, who hasn’t yet had the opportunity to be in the playing XI of India during the ODI World Cup 2023, took to his official X account to troll a user on the platform for critiquing him about lack of game time. When the 33-year-old was asked to come out and bat, instead of eating food in the dugout on X, he responded back by saying that the social media user should give an order on Swiggy and not him.

The viral video on X from the India versus Australia contest in the ODI World Cup 2023 had Suryakumar Yadav digging into his food in the dugout, while the Men in Blue were chasing down a paltry score of 200 against the Australian cricket team on October 8. The hosts managed to win the contest by six wickets, but the clip resurfaced a week or so later, on Monday, October 16, for the Mumbai-born cricketer to have fun off the pitch.
“Sir dugout mein baithke kya khate rehto ho, ground par jaake do chaar 6 maarke aao (Sir why are you sitting there in the dugout eating, go to the ground and hit two four sixes),” posted the X user, accompanied by the clip of Suryakumar Yadav. It led to the 33-year-old giving a fiery response to them, “Order mereko nahi Swiggy pe de bhai (Brother give order on Swiggy and not me).”
While Suryakumar Yadav is yet to play for India in the ODI World Cup 2023 at home, the Men in Blue have been performing exceptionally well in the tournament. They have beaten Australia, Afghanistan, and Pakistan comprehensively while chasing down below-par totals, thanks to the bowling department delivering the goods match after match.
