Baroda shattered one of the most sough-after records in T20 cricket during a Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy fixture against Sikkim in Indore. Batting first, Baroda achieved the highest-ever team total in men’s T20 cricket as they posted a mammoth 349/5 total in their 20 overs. Bhanu Pania shone with the bat as the right-hander smashed an unbeaten 134*(51) runs as Baroda achieved the record-breaking total.
Batting first, Baroda showed a fiery approach from the start of the innings as Shashwat Rawat and Abhimanyusingh Rajput put up an opening partnership of 92 runs in just 5.1 overs. Rawat got out after a quickfire 43(16), smashing four fours and as many sixes, while Abhimanyusingh went on to smash 53 runs off 17 balls, hitting four fours and five sixes. After that, Bhanu Pania and Shivalik Sharma took charge of the innings.

Bhanu Pania and Shivalik Sharma put up a partnership of 94 runs for the third wicket as Baroda crossed the 200 runs mark inside just 11 overs. Shivalik also smashed a fiery half-century as he got out after scoring 55(17) runs with three sixes and sixes. After that, Vishnu Solanki also smashed 50(16), while Bhanu Pania remained unbeaten on 134*(51) as Baroda posted a mammoth 349/5 total in 20 overs. Pania smashed five fours and 15 sixes during his knock.
Chasing a huge target, Sikkim were nowhere close to Baroda’s mammoth total as they kept losing wickets at regular intervals. At the end of 20 overs, Sikkim could only score 86 runs for the loss of seven wickets as Baroda registered a massive win by 263 runs. Ninad Rathva and Mahesh Pithiya took two wickets each, while skipper Krunal Pandya, Atit Sheth, and Abhimanyusingh Rajput scalped a wicket each.
