The much-awaited World Test Championship (WTC) 2023-25 Final is set to commence from June 11 at the iconic Lord’s Cricket Ground in London. The five-day summit clash will see the defending champions, Australia take on South Africa as they fight for the prestigious Test mace and record prize money. However, the Pat Cummins-led Australia are coming into the final after they defeated India in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy (BGT) 2024-25 by 3-1 margin down under.
On the other hand, the Protea Men had a brilliant home and away season and finished at the top of the WTC 2023-25 cycle standings with eight wins from 12 Test matches and a draw. They finished with a percentage of 69.44, a little more than Australia (67.54%) to secure the top spot. However, as they battle it out across the five days, it has to be seen who takes away the massive chunk from the prize pool of USD 5.76 million.
Out of the total prize money, while the winners will take home USD 3.6 million, the runners-up too will secure a sum of USD 2.16 million, which amounts to be approximately around INR 22 Crore. Here’s the full breakthrough of how the prize money of WTC 2023-25 cycle will be distributed among the participating teams.
