In what will be a thrilling encounter in the Champions League quarterfinal between Real Madrid and Arsenal on Tuesday night, several important happenings have been going around before the game. For Real Madrid, the return of Thibaut Courtois seems to be key while Arsenal are handed a boost in the attacking department with Bukayo Saka’s return. The English forward also spoke to the press in the pre-match conference and during this event he was asked about comparisons between him and Real Madrid forwards Kylian Mbappe and Vinicius Junior.
All three of these players play in similar positions for their respective clubs and command a lot of love and respect from the supporters due to their footballing quality. Saka has been an instrumental figure for Arsenal in recent years and has gone on to arguably become one of the best wingers playing with the Gunners under Mikel Arteta. Although, he was recently sidelined due to a hamstring injury, he has been back and running with the club in the recent weeks and is a starter for Arsenal in the clash against Real Madrid.

Talking about the comparisons with Mbappe and Vinicius, Saka told the reporters that such things were highly opiniated and he does not really consider them to be a level above him. He said, “I don’t really want to start sitting here and saying that they’re a level above me and stuff because that’s not the way I think…But other things will speak for themselves,” probably referring to who will prevail on top in the upcoming game between the two sides.
Talking about the match, these two heavyweights are set to face each other in the first leg of the UCL quarter-final at the Emirates Stadium and Arsenal will be looking to make most of the home-advantage and get some early stronghold in this two-leg tie. One concern which could haunt Arsenal in the match is the injury of main-stay centre-back Gabriel Magalhaes, who has been ruled out for this match.
