Tottenham Hotspur are planning to host a parade in front of their supporters if they succeed to vanquish Manchester United (MU) in the final and lift the distinguished Europa League trophy on May 21 at San Mames. As per ESPN sources, Tottenham will make the moment humongous if they pick up the silverware. It is to be noted that Tottenham haven’t won any major trophy since 2008, where they defeated Chelsea to lift the Football League Cup. Noting the fact, this time, they will look to beat United on the big day and script history.
A source revealed to ESPN that Spurs are eager to conduct a parade if they emerge victorious. The Lillywhites are sitting one position above relegation in the Premier League 2024-25. With only 11 wins, five draws, and 20 losses in 36 matches, they are holding the 17th spot on the tally.
Manchester United won’t hold parade if emerge victorious: Reports
Manchester United, if emerge victorious, won't celebrate the trophy in their conventional way. United, who are known for holding the open-top bus parades after winning the trophies, didn’t celebrate that way after bagging the FA Cup in 2016, the Carabao Cup and Europa League in 2017, the Carabao Cup in 2023 or the FA Cup in 2024. Their last parade happened in 2013, when they beat Aston Villa in the final of the Premier League 2012-13, played at Old Trafford.
However, United would find it difficult to organise the parade if they think about organising one as the Red Devils will clash against Aston Villa in the Premier League 2024-25 game at Old Trafford on May 25. Following the Villa encounter, the side will visit Malaysia for a post-season tour, where they will play a couple of games.
