Former India batter Wasim Jaffer continues to entertain the netizens with his hilarious and amusing tweets. Today, Jaffer posted another tweet uproarious tweet addressing India’s power-packed finish against England in the first innings of the final Test. The Men in Blue managed to put up 416 thanks to centuries by Rishabh Pant and Ravindra Jadeja.
But the Indian team didn’t have a great start as they were reduced to 98-5 where James Anderson and Matty Potts ran through the top order. Stars like Virat Kohli and Cheteshwar Pujara failed to score over 15 runs. Hence several experts were deeming this start as a failure in an all-important fixture. They also speculated that the Indian would be bundled quickly, but as Pant and Jadeja started chipping away, the tables turned.
Describing this comeback, Jaffer posted a picture of former England player Kevin Pietersen and Andrew Flintoff from their 2005 Ashes win celebration. In the snap, both Pietersen and Flintoff had a quiet few adult beverages and were looking extremely befuddled. Jaffer captioned the picture, “Eng: Indian total won't be that high. Meanwhile Indian total: #ENGvIND.”

Similarly, Kevin Pietersen had made a few comments on India’s start as he praised his former teammate James Anderson who picked up five wickets. “There’s nothing you can do,” Pietersen says. “Sometimes you’ve just got to say, ‘it’s the great Jimmy Anderson. There will be balls you have to play at, which I think that was one of,” he further added.
“Jimmy Anderson, on occasions, is just too good. What do you do? You watch (Glen) McGrath, (Wasim) Akram, (Shaun) Pollock, he’s as good as, if not better, than a lot of those guys, in these conditions in particular.”
KP also addressed Virat Kohli’s dismissal and backed the former India captain to get back out of his slump. “The guy is a great player, the guy is a genius," Pietersen said. "Name me a player that hasn’t gone through a rough patch in his career. Some of the greatest players have been dropped, they’ve actually just been parked.”
