Veteran Indian leg-spinner Amit Mishra pulled off an age-defining catch to dismiss Rahul Tripathi in the IPL 2023 game between Lucknow Super Giants and Sunrisers Hyderabad. KL Rahul's LSG has emerged as the better team so far in the contest thanks to incredible bowling effort.

Adding to his former team's troubles, Mishra already delivered three economic overs giving away just 17 runs. Then in the 17th over of the match, Rahul Tripathi tried to increase the rate of scoring and attempted a ramp shot over a short third man. As Tripathi miss-timed the ball, Mishra quickly shuffled to his left and completed a diving catch.

After completing this athletic catch, Amit Mishra came on for his final over, where took his 168th wicket as he dismissed Washington Sundar and Adil Rashid. He ended his four overs with two wickets while giving away just 23 runs.
This incredible bowling performance helped the Lucknow Super Giants reduce to the score of 121 in their 20 overs. Reacting to this performance, another star bowler Ravi Bhishnoi praised his team for bowling according to the surface.
He said, "It was a tough wicket for batters. Our bowlers bowled well according to the conditions. It is a dicey score. We will look to finish it well and early. I knew Brook will step out. I was ready as he had stepped out earlier in the over. I thought I will trick him with a leggie. Samad finished well for them. Our batters should chase this down."
