As IPL 2022 mega auction is taking place in Bengaluru on Sunday, there is one exciting international match also going on with Australia up against Sri Lanka in the 2nd T20I at SCG. There were some incredible moments, but the sequence of events on 2nd delivery of 12th over of the first innings was just baffling to watch for the cricket lovers.

It all happened when Glenn Maxwell edged the ball towards the backward point region and took off for a quick single. However, he stopped and there was a big mix-up in the middle with his batting partner Josh Inglis already there at the halfway mark.

When the throw came towards the wicket-keeper, both the batsmen found themselves at the same end but fortunately for them, Dinesh Chandimal (wk) made a mess and missed the opportunity to inflict a run-out.

Just when the ball was missed by the Sri Lankan wicket-keeper, Maxwell got an opportunity to complete the single and despite the throw at the non-striker's end, he survived and Australia did not just get saved from dismissal, they also added one bonus run to their total.
