The second day of the IPL 2022 Mega Auction saw England all-rounder Liam Livingstone taking the auction hall by storm as he bagged a whopping 11.50 Crores with Punjab Kings. He himself would not have expected to go that big but such is the demand for a good overseas all-rounder in IPL. Livingstone has risen to ranks recently in white-ball cricket, especially in the shortest format. He is considered a strong cricketer who can hit the ball to a big distance. But Livingston has shown on most occasions that he is much more than a batter.

The Englishman was the captain of his team in the inaugural edition of 'The Hundred' and he led his team from the front. He scored runs, took wickets, and pulled off brilliant catches. Since then, he has become a popular name in the cricketing fraternity across the globe. While Livingstone's name was being called at the IPL 2022 Mega Auction, he was busy representing Peshawar Zalmi at the seventh edition of the Pakistan Super League.

Livingstone is doing really well for his team. Along with scoring runs, he is bowling some beautiful leg spinners to outfox batsmen. One such out-of-the-box delivery came against Karachi Kings on Sunday noon. Livingstone bowled a gem of a delivery to beat Joe Clarke. The ball after pitching outside the leg stump turned a long way out and beat Joe Clarke's edge to hit the leg stump.

Livingstone most expensive overseas buy at IPL 2022 Mega Auction

After being bought for a whopping 11.50 CR by Punjab Kings, Livingstone became the most expensive overseas player at the IPL 2022 Mega Auction. He left behind Nicholas Pooran and Wanindu Hasaranga who stayed tied at 10.75 CR. While Pooran was bought by SunRisers Hyderabad, Hasaranga had a bit of luck with Royal Challengers Bangalore.
