KL Rahul displayed his batting excellence for India A against England Lions in the second unofficial Test getting played at the County Ground, Northampton. Following the early departure of Yashasvi Jaiswal and captain Abhimanyu Easwaran, Rahul batted with discipline and stitched a crucial 86-run partnership with Karun Nair. Nair fell against pacer Chris Woakes, but Rahul didn’t relent and kept on testing the Lions' bowling unit’s patience. Following Nair’s wicket, Dhruv Jurel joined the veteran in the middle. In the 38th over, Rahul stole two runs against pacer George Hill and brought his fifty off 102 balls.

Jurel has supported Rahul spectacularly so far. In the 54th over, the young wicket-keeper batter notched up his fifty in just 66 balls. In the next over, Rahul also completed his ton after consuming 150 deliveries. As of writing, both Rahul and Jurel have maintained a 115-run stand.
