WATCH: Kris Srikkanth blesses MS Dhoni as CSK arrive in Mumbai ahead of MI game

After winning their first game of the 2023 IPL season in Cheapuk, CSK is set to take on long-time rivals, Mumbai Indians.

The Chennai Super Kings captain MS Dhoni and former Indian cricketer Krishnamachari Srik k anth shared a heartwarming moment as the four-time champs landed in Mumbai. After winning their first game of the 2023 IPL season in Cheapuk, CSK is set to take on long-time rivals, Mumbai Indians at the Wankhede Stadium.

As MS Dhoni and Co. walked into the team hotel, they were greeted by former CSK star Murali Vijay and Kris Srikkanth. After exchanging pleasantries with Chennai head coach Stephen Fleming and bowling coach Dwayne Bravo, Chikka spotted MS Dhoni and was heard saying, “I salute you, boss.”


Dhoni then asked the former Indian chief selector, “Are you coming or going? What’s happening?” Srikkanth, in response, told him that he has been commentating and was on air when he smashed Mark Wood for two consecutive sixes in the final over of CSK innings. 


Further, the ex-Indian opener blessed Dhoni and wished him the best for his future. He said, “I’m doing commentary here, I was doing commentary when you were hitting sixes. Superb, I tell you. Honestly, I tell you, I’m happy for you. God bless you!”

So far in the tournament, MS Dhoni and Chennai Super Kings have shown signs of the championship-wining self from 2021. The CSK batters led by Ruturaj Gaikwad, who is the current orange cap holder, 149 runs in the first two games. But, if the Yellow Army wants to make a deep run in the tournament, their bowling needs to improve.
