Babar Azam and Sarfaraz Ahmed batted brilliantly on Day 1 of the first Test against New Zealand to put the host team in a commanding position, at National Stadium, in Karachi. While batting first, Pakistan had a horrible start to the game as the hosts were reduced to 110-4 in 28.6 overs.
However, Babar Azam continued his stellar form in the year as he went on to smash yet another century of the year, while Sarfaraz Ahmed made most of the opportunity on his welcome match as he scored 86 off 153, before perishing to Ajaz Patel. Meanwhile, Babar Azam, who scored his ninth Test century on Monday evening, got a life at the score of 12 runs as Kiwi pacer Daryl Mitchell dropped a dolly in the slip.
The video of the same has gone viral on the internet as the New Zealand pacer was spotted yawning seconds before he dropped the catch. It was the 15th over of the first Test match, Pakistan captain tried to drive the flighted delivery off Mitchel Bracewell, but the ball took an outside edge and went into the slip.
As visible in the video, Mitchell was feeling the Monday blues as he was spotted yawning and ended up dropping an easy catch of Babar Azam, which turned out to be an expensive mistake.
