Punjab Kings opener Priyansh Arya took Chennai Super Kings on remand as he went on to complete his maiden IPL hundred in just 39 balls in match number 22 of IPL 2025 in New Chandigarh. The left-hander smashed three consecutive sixes against Matheesha Pathirana in the 13th over, followed by a four to reach his century in style.

Coming to bat first after winning the toss, PBKS kept losing wickets at regular intervals as Prabhsimran Singh went back to the pavilion in the second over without scoring a single run, followed by skipper Shreyas Iyer's dismissal in the next over. However, Priyansh Arya kept smashing the CSK bowlers and ended up completing his fifty inside the powerplay in just 19 deliveries. The 24-year-old didn’t stop after that and went on to complete his hundred in just 39 balls by smashing three sixes and a four in the 13th over Matheesha Pathirana.

With the help of Priyansh Arya’s fiery ton, PBKS are heading towards a big total despite losing regular wickets in the starting overs. The hosts were reduced to 83/5 after eight overs. After that, Arya and Shashank Singh added 71 runs for the sixth wicket. The opening batter got out after scoring 103 runs off just 42 balls smashing seven fours and nine sixes.
