On Tuesday, April 14, the Punjab Kings (PBKS) are hosting the defending champions, Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in match number 31 of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 at the Maharaja Yadavindra Singh International Cricket Stadium in Mullanpur. However, both teams are coming off contrasting results, but are currently placed in the middle of the points table.
For the unversed, PBKS captain, Shreyas Iyer won the toss and decided to bat first. However, his decision did not seem to benefit much in the ongoing match as KKR bowlers posted serious threat, sending six of their batters back to the pavilion inside the 10 overs. In one of the instances, KKR player, Ramndeep Singh pulled off a brilliant catch to dismiss the PBKS skipper.

With Ajinkya Rahane introducing Harshit Rana into the attack in the fourth over, the India pacer got his first wicket in Priyansh Arya, who departed having scored 22 runs off 12 deliveries. On the fourth delivery of the same over, a combined effort from Rana and Ramandeep helped KKR get their second breakthrough in skipper Shreyas Iyer.
Rana opted to bowl a wide outside off, which Iyer belted it towards the covers. But as Iyer mistimed it, the ball went towards the backward point. Ramandeep, who was positioned at square third man, ran upfront to grab a stunner at deep backward point, leaving everyone in awe of his athleticism.
