Star all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja has finally joined Chennai Super Kings (CSK) camp ahead of the upcoming season of the Indian Premier League (IPL). Just two days after helping India to win the Champions Trophy 2025 in Dubai, Jadeja has now arrived in Chennai and joined the CSK camp replicating the iconic beard step from the popular Indian movie ‘Pushpa: The Rise.'
CSK announced the much-awaited arrival of Ravindra Jadeja by posting a 46-second long video trailer-like video on their social media. In a video, Jadeja makes an entry like a south superstar and replicated the famous step by Allu Arjun. Later Jadeja was also quoted as saying “Jaddu sirf naam nahi, Jaddu matlan brand.”
Ravindra Jadeja to pair up with R. Ashwin in IPL 2025
In IPL 2025, the fans will also witness the return of the iconic spin duo of Ravindra Jadeja and Ravichandran Ashwin in the cash-rich league. Notably, Ashwin was last seen playing for CSK in IPL 2015 before the franchise faced a two-year ban from the league. Now, CSK have bought Ashwin back in their line up after 10 years as they acquired him for INR 9.75 crore.
R. Ashwin also announced his retirement from international cricket during the 2024-25 Border-Gavaskar Trophy down under. Since then, he hasn’t been seen bowling alongside Jadeja. Now, with the upcoming edition of the IPL, both Jadeja and Ashwin are set to return on the field together. The duo will also look to win their first IPL title together in 2025. Despite CSK winning five IPL, Jadeja and Ashwin haven’t been able to win it together. Ashwin was a part of CSK’s triumphs in 2010 and 2011 while Jadeja joined the franchise in 2012. On the other hand, Jadeja was CSK when the won the title in 2018, 2021 and 2023 when Ashwin wasn’t playing for the franchise.
